Choose a consistent SKU format

Start with a short prefix, then add up to six named attributes with comma-separated values. Choose a hyphen, underscore, dot or no separator. Open Numbering & letter case to control uppercase codes, the sequence start and one to six padding digits.

The tool keeps English letters and digits in each code part. For example, Light Blue becomes LIGHTBLUE with uppercase enabled. Enter your own abbreviation, such as LBL, if you prefer shorter codes.

Review and export your codes

Check the first-code preview and the generated table. Resolve missing names, invalid values or duplicate-code warnings before exporting. Download CSV for the SKU, attribute and optional sequence columns, or use Copy all for a plain list.

The first 1,000 combinations are included when the limit is reached. Barcode transfer accepts up to 200 codes. SKU exports need no account; downloading files from the separate barcode tool requires sign-in.

Keep your inventory codes stable

  • Use the same attribute order and abbreviations across related products.
  • Check new codes against your existing stock list. Duplicate detection only covers the currently generated rows.
  • Save an export before changing inputs. Reordering values or changing the sequence start can change the codes assigned to variants.
  • When using the CSV with another system, map its columns to that system requirements. This tool does not sync inventory or supply platform-specific import templates.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SKU generator free, and do I need an account?

Creating SKUs, copying the list and downloading a CSV are free and do not require sign-in or credits. The separate Barcode Generator requires Google sign-in to download barcode files.

How many SKUs and attributes can I use?

You can add up to six attributes. Preview, copy and CSV export include the first 1,000 combinations. A warning appears when the total exceeds this limit. Reduce the values or split your work into smaller batches to include every variant.

How are SKU codes formatted?

Choose an optional prefix, a hyphen, underscore, dot or no separator, and whether to use uppercase. Optional sequence numbers have a starting value and one to six padding digits. Code parts retain only English letters and digits; spaces and punctuation inside each part are removed.

Does the tool guarantee unique SKUs?

It blocks export when the generated rows contain duplicate codes, but it does not compare them with your existing inventory or earlier batches. Different values can become identical after spaces, punctuation or letter case are normalized. Enable sequence numbering or change the values, then check your master inventory list.

What is included in the CSV download?

The CSV contains a SKU column, a column for each active attribute and a Sequence column when numbering is enabled. Copy all places only SKU codes on the clipboard, one per line. This is a general-purpose export, not a platform-specific product import template.

Can I import a spreadsheet or save my SKU pattern?

This page does not import spreadsheets or save a pattern library. Enter attribute values manually and download the CSV before leaving. The generated list updates as you edit the inputs.

Can I create barcodes from these SKUs?

Create barcode labels transfers up to 200 valid SKU codes to the Barcode Generator as Code 128 labels. If you have more than 200 codes, reduce the combinations or export a CSV for separate handling. SKU creation does not register a retail product number.

Where is my SKU data processed?

SKU generation and CSV creation happen in your browser. Sending codes to Barcode Generator temporarily stores the list in session storage, which the receiving tool removes after a successful import. The SKU page does not save an inventory database.
