Use text-to-image when you are starting with an idea. Choose image-to-image when you have a photo or visual reference and want to describe a specific change. GenImager sends generation requests to its active image service; the result and generation time can vary between attempts.
Create an image from a prompt
- Open Text to Image and write a prompt of 10 to 2,000 characters.
- Describe the subject first, then the setting, composition, style, and lighting.
- Select Generate Now. The current text workflow requests a square image.
- Review the result in Output Gallery and download it if it fits your use.
Edit a reference image
- Open Image to Image and upload one or two JPG, PNG, or WebP references, up to 10 MB each.
- Explain what should change and which important details should stay the same.
- Generate the edit, then compare it with your source image before downloading.

Use this as a starting point. Adjust the subject and instructions for your own image.

Review the result and refine one detail at a time
- Use concrete nouns and visible details instead of a string of style keywords.
- For an edit, separate requested changes from details to preserve.
- Check labels, logos, hands, edges, and small text. AI output can alter fine details.
- Keep a copy of the source image and use only images you have permission to upload.
Questions about this image generator
Does the text workflow have an aspect-ratio control?
The current text-to-image form requests a square image and does not expose a separate aspect-ratio selector.
Do I need an account to generate?
Yes. Generation requires a signed-in GenImager account and is subject to the current plan allowance. Check the pricing page for current access details.
Can I pick an image model?
This workflow uses the active model configuration for the selected mode. It does not currently show a model selector.
Can I use the generated image commercially?
Rights and permitted use depend on the source material, applicable law, and GenImager terms. Review the result and confirm that you have the rights needed for your intended use.
